Managing Stock Sizes

MRF can be setup to retain dimensions for rolled and offcut stock. This is particularly important for returns and credits as it allows the quantities and measurements of returned and unallocated rolled stock to be recorded so it can be used as offcuts.

To setup MRF to calculate and store dimensions, you need to complete the following steps:

1. Serialise items to retain dimensions.

2. Create UDQs on the serial file to hold dimensions.

3. Process orders as usual:

• If stock is allocated from prime stock during order processing, dimensions for offcuts must be entered during job completion if tracking is required.

• If stock is taken from unallocated stock (offcuts and returns) during order processing, store cards must be completed for unallocated rolled stock serials.
